chicken coop progress

Well, the chicken coop is *almost* completed. It really wouldn't take much to get it finished. But, what is that saying? My get up and go must have got up and went. :) I'm tired.
I have multiple band-aids on my hands from chicken wire cuts. My hands are so swollen from using the staple gun (hanging wire) and the snips (cutting wire). I can't even wear my wedding rings. This is most disturbing to me as I have not been without them during my marraige of 10+ years other than pregnancy.
I know there isn't that much left. But, what is left just seems overwhelming. Perhaps after lunch and after I get Remington down for his nap I will chug a few Mt Dew cans and get to work.
Still to do:
hang chicken wire around other half of run
bury bottom of wire
chicken wire top of walls in coop
chicken nesting boxes
waterer (is that a word?)
set up bench (to sit and watch chickens)
chicken wire one screen door

Blah, I guess I'm just sick of chicken wire really. Basically, it stinks. To cut it you use snips which after snipping 100+ times your hand gets sore. Then, to hang it you use one of two equally terrible methods.
#1 The staple gun- Well, this sounds easy enough but it is really hard to squeeze. This after 100+ times hurts your hand which is already sore from all the wire snipping.
#2 U shaped nails and hammer- Okay, I can drive a nail, quite well actually. But, these U shaped nails are just a pain in the butt. They are really hard to drive strait into the wood. They have a mind of their own and like to bend sideways or simply jump out of the wood. Yes, they do, I have seen it.
So, you get the wire up using whatever method you least dispise but all the while you are getting cut by the sharp edges of the wire.
~~~Gone with the Wind....
"Mother always did say you can tell the quality of a lady by her hands."
Well, my hands are wrecked. ;)
Okay, I feel much better now. I really just wanted to vent a bit.
I really am excited about the chickens. I'm just tired.
