Ooooh! Check out this two person table
This two person work desk with storage is available from IKEA. I've never ordered from IKEA before so any and all information on the company and their products are welcomed.
If you ask me, this desk is just begging to be used in a homeschool. I plan to purchase two to use with our sit down work. I'm thrilled (yes, easily) about the individual storage. I keep picturing all their three ring binders neatly organized. (Hopefully they will fit.)
I think this is what I want to celebrate our sixth year of homeschooling anniversary. (Which is coming in three days.)
Hi, chickadee! Miss you! I hope you guys find a group of friends, soon!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Ikea. I love Ikea, and not just because they have great meatballs. I have a bookshelf from Ikea, a bed from Ikea, and a computer desk from Ikea. I got almost everything in their as-is section. Of course, I don't think you can do that online... Anyway, their stuff is a good value. It's mostly not solid wood, but it is better than what you'd buy at Target. It's not as good as, say, Pottery Barn, but it's not near as expensive, either. This desk looks great. I'm going to have to check it out. We're in desperate need. Right now, Dominic's doing his work on the floor. If I had two of these, each of the boys would have a workspace, and so would I! Imagine! Oh, wait, you already are.:) Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!
I don't have any Ikea, but I do know a few people who do and they love it. I haven't heard any complaints. I was all set to order some things from them, then I saw the shipping charge and it was almost as much as the products I was ordering. Plan a trip to Atlanta and pick everything up yourself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shipping rates tip, Molly. They aren't very specific about their rates online. I'll have to check into them further.
ReplyDeleteKristina, I can so picture these desks in your big basement room! And did I miss something? IKEA makes meatballs?
Yes Swedish Meatballs. They are yummy!
ReplyDeleteMy brother Josh introduced me to Ikea. He had one in Norway and compared it to a maze for rats. He loved his comforter though.
Of course my parents shopped IKEA, they have a plate from early 80's. So I guess they were the ones who got me hooked.
We have the little table and chair set for the boys that was super cheap. We love it and it has worked great despite abuse. I really need to head to Round Rock and look at that desk...
I would love to hear your opinion of the desk if you do drive out to Round Rock.
ReplyDeleteWe have a bed and bedside tables from Ikea. I like it, but we have had to alter the mattress support section (not sure if it's because the construction isn't as good, or if dh didn't do a very good job following all the directions when we first got it...and with consecutive moves. But it works, and looks decent.
ReplyDeleteThe desk look neat. We've also bought some shelves and bed side table for my daughter's room. Her bedside table is not holding up as nicely as our are. So, I think it depends upon the item. Although, it may be that my kids like to try and take things apart that could be the problem with their items.
If you can visit a store, it's lots of fun!
