The concept of good and evil

We've been trucking along with our normal lessons. It's quite lovely, actually. We're all in a nice routine and the flow is natural.

Today, in addition to our normal lessons, the boys will look up and write the definitions for the following words.

deceit
wicked
desperate
good
bad

We will discuss the concept of "good" and "evil".
Notice and discuss the difference in the definitions for the words good and bad. The words good is described in a quite secular fashion. The second definition of the word bad is "evil;sinful".
Discuss the actions of people. Are people "evil"? Or, are they acting in a destructive manner due to lack of loving guidance in their life? Are babies born evil, wicked, and deceitful? Is the human heart wicked?

This is all in response to a Bible verse the boys were asked to memorize at their AWANA class. They are attending church here with their Grandmother.
