So, what do you do all day and which curriculum do you use?

How many times have you been asked this question?

So, what do you do all day and which curriculum do you use?

I've found this question mainly comes from other homeschoolers. I understand the question and have often asked it myself. We are the curious bunch, aren't we? ;) Often times I have found it helps to get a view of what others are doing. Other times I have noticed it could be detrimental to see the view. (Isn't it easy to play keeping up with the Joneses in homeschooling?)

My answer to this question is ever changing but here is a glimpse into what I have planned for today. Mind you, this isn't really a list of curriculum. You won't find many references to workbooks in our lessons lately. Also keep in mind this list is not exhaustive. I'm quite certain we will learn/discuss many different concepts today. (Things do come up, don't they?)

So, that's it. That's what we'll cover today... hopefully. We have a 2pm vision appt for Christoher. (Hooray! We're finally getting him new glasses!) The vision center is about 30 minutes away from our home so it will take up a chunk of our instruction time. Later in the evening I may have the boys watch the third part of the history channel's American Revolution series.
