WWYL?

I've got a new idea. Inside I'm dying to leave the boys alone and simply watch them learn in a complete unschooling type manner. But.... I can't. Not yet, at least.

In the meantime, I want to encourage more free learning. Free learning. Wow. I've never thought of it that way before. The freedom to learn what you want, how you want, when you want.... Completely free of arbitrary lists of necessary knowledge. Hmmm.... Wouldn't that be nice?

WWYL stands for What Will You Learn? My idea is to set aside WWYL time and encourage anything the kids want to do. I'm dreaming of woodworking, science projects, garden help... I'll let you know how it actually turns out. ;)
